This Is Where the re.formme Begins
A note from our founder, Ellie M.
The Honest Beginning
I'm Ellie, the founder of re.formme, and I wanted to share a little bit about our story – why we started and what we believe in. It's a personal journey, deeply rooted in my own experiences with Pilates and its transformative power.
For years, I struggled to find a form of exercise that truly resonated with me. Everything felt like a chore, a means to an end rather than something enjoyable and sustainable. Then I discovered Pilates, and eventually, Reformer Pilates. The controlled movements, the focus on core strength, and the mind-body connection… it was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It wasn't just about physical fitness; it was about feeling good in my own skin. And it stuck.
But it wasn’t always the easiest to access.
“To be completely honest, I didn’t set out to open a studio.”
I started searching for studios. Something beautiful, inspiring, inclusive. A place where you could show up as you are — be it strong, sore, stiff, starting over, or somewhere in between — and leave feeling better.
Tullamore is a vibrant, growing community — but when it comes to movement and wellness, the options can feel a bit narrow. If you’re not into team sports or traditional gym culture, it’s easy to feel left on the sidelines.
A studio space I couldn’t find — so I created one.
re.formme was born from that gap — from the belief that there is more than one way to be strong.
Pilates can seem exclusive or intimidating from the outside — but it doesn’t have to be. I wanted to create a space where people feel welcomed, seen, and supported. A space that celebrates progress over perfection.
Somewhere you can show up just as you are — whether you’re building strength, easing back into movement, or starting fresh — and know you’re in the right place.
A space where movement is a ritual, not a routine.
Where strength is re.defined.
Where everyone — and every body — is welcome.
A new kind of strength
This isn’t about lifting heavier or sweating harder.
It’s about moving with purpose, with presence, and with care.
Reformer Pilates offers a new way to build strength — one rooted in mobility, control, and intention. It complements traditional training, supports injury recovery, and welcomes complete beginners. It’s accessible, challenging, and deeply transformative.
Whether you're here to cross-train, heal, reconnect, or simply move differently — this is for you.
For every body, at every stage
Yes, many boutique studios market mainly to women. And while I know many of our clients will be women, I want to be clear:
re.formme is for everyone.
Men belong in this space.
Older adults. New movers. Athletes. Lifters. Desk-workers. First-timers.
This is a space for people who want to move well, move smart, and move with purpose.
You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to be fit.
You just need to be willing to start — and we’ll meet you where you are.
A Note on the Name
thereformme holds meaning — layered, intentional, and deeply connected to what we do.
It speaks to transformation (the reform. me), to support (there for mme), and to the invitation to move, shift, and grow with purpose (there, form me).
That’s what this space is about.
Movement that supports. Space that strengthens. A ritual that restores.
The re.formme. For you.
The journey starts here.
This is more than a studio.
It’s a community. A shift. A space to re.connect, re.build, and re.form — in your own way, in your own time.
We’re so glad you found us. And we can’t wait to move with you.
See you soon,
Ellie M.
